Twenty Five Thousand Dollars!!!!!

Woo Hoo!!!!

We’ve just been adding up our fundraising efforts for the last twelve months and it is now over $25,000 since our first fundraiser in September 2011.

What a huge variety of different ways of raising money –

Ask Animals Anything (September 2011) – This was an animal communication course held at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. We had about a hundred new age folk learning how to make a closer connection with animals. Thanks to the generous presenters who donated their time and expertise and the wonderful participants who purchased the course (and quite a few raffle tickets!) we raised $10,137.

– Dog Training Excellence (November 2011) – Australia’s best dog trainer Steve Austin donated his time and highly respected training course on Dog Training Excellence. Another hundred or so participants helped us raise about $5000.

– Joey Ambassador Read-A-Thon (October 2011) – I was motivated to read as many books as possible and thanks to lots of great sponsors and donations, I raised around $1200

– Wildlife Emergency Family Fun Day Car Rally (May 2012) – about 200 people had an absolutely awesome day with our first ever car rally. They were blown away by the huge range of activities (go karts, redback riding, abseiling, putt-putt, segways and so much more!) and we raised $5225

– All the other market stalls and sales – I have attended quite a few Wildlife Warriors stalls which sell their merchandise (which isn’t counted in the $25,000 total as this goes straight back to AZWW). However, at some of these stalls, we get to sell some other merchandise which was donated to me – a whole range of stuff from kitty litter, dog collars, address books and diaries.

– Donations from friends and family – I also have received quite a few donations via the everyday hero page. Thanks guys!

We’ve had a ball running these fundraisers for conservation. 100% of Profits are donated to Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors, so they can continue their awesome conservation work.

So, on behalf of all the native wildlife that have been saved thanks to everyone’s amazing generosity, I would like to say a huge THANK YOU!
