Come on down to the Beach Clean Up – Bribie Style this weekend!

BeachCleanUpA4

I have been so busy!  But I haven’t been too busy to do my Beach Clean Ups on Bribie Island on our busiest beach just in front of Brennan Park Bongaree

Please join me once a month to help me with my survey of rubbish found washed up from our Moreton Bay.  We are sending the research to SeaWorld Rescue and Research Foundation and Healthy Waterways.  It is so exciting to be involved.

I would love you to join me!  It is only once a month.  The 2nd Sunday of the Month at the Rotary Markets you will find me there with buckets, gloves, pick up sticks and of course the High Visy Hawaiian Shirt!

It is a great way to meet new friends and help clean up our environment!

Another Great Turn Out for the Beach Clean Up – Bribie Style!

DSCN1585DSCN1613

Well another fun day down at Bongaree cleaning up the main beach in front of the Jetty and Park.  It was cold this morning, but we have to get out there and clean up the rubbish to collect the marine and land animals.

Thank you everyone for coming along!

Time to sort the rubbish!

Ever wonder how we collect the data on the rubbish – weight, how many cigarette butts?  Well it is kind of like this, find the sun put the head phones on and get to work

Thanks Dad

how we sort the rubbish

You just never know what type of celebrities will turn up at the Beach Clean Up – Bribie Style!

Thank you Hugo for coming along to our first Beach Clean up.  It was great to see everyone working hard.  We need to look after our Endangered Sea Turtles and Bribie is home to 2 different species!
