2014 is looking great for the ZOO RUN with Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary holding their first ZOO RUN to help raise money and awareness for their own Currumbin Wildlife Hospital. This hospital is such a busy hospital run by wonderful staff that deserve our support

Wow how exciting! Thank you so much for asking about joining us for the ZOO RUN at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. This is located on the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia. A huge tourist area. I have sent you more information in an email to your Gmail account! I really hope that our ZOO RUN fits in with your travel plans. If you are coming please make sure you find me on the day so I can say “Goedemorgen”. You also wont be alone, my wonderful friend from Walt will be there on the day. He is also Dutch. Mum is excited as she always gets kissed 3 times on the cheeks by Walt – as he tells us this is a Dutch custom. LOL You will have to let me know if this is correct. 🙂

The ZOO RUN is a perfect run to start enjoying the great out doors, see amazing wildlife, met like minded people and by paying the entry fee helping out the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital!
I hope you will join us. If you feel you cant do the 5km run you can always try the 2km run/walk. This will be at a slower pace and not as many hills etc
The 5km run will be in waves…Waddle like a wombat is for runners that know they will not finish the 5km within 20 mins.

The ZOO RUN is a happening at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on Sunday the 23rd of November 2014
We will be there from 6am and the first run (5km in waves from fastest to slowest) will start at 6.30 sharp. Then the 2km run/walk will commence about after all the 5km runners have left.
The cost for the ZOO RUN is
• $50 for the 5km
• $40 for the 2km run/walk
As the 5km run is in bushland and some minor obstacles (such as bridges etc) are involved sadly only runners can do this event. No wheel chair access or prams.
The 2km run has wheelchair and pram access and is open to anyone.
This event is put on by Tegan (Me!) Lather with the help of her parents and after we have paid all the bills for the event, t-shirts, insurance etc we will give the rest of the funds raised to Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.
In my last ZOO RUN at Australia Zoo we had 500 runners, just like Currumbin ZOO RUN, and raised $20,000!!! for the wildlife hospital, so I am hoping to sell all the spots.
For the cost of your entry you will receive
• Free T-Shirt
• Free Reusable Water bottle
• Free Entry into Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the day of the ZOO RUN

Of course that is allowed. All we ask is that if a child is going to participate in the ZOO RUN that he is accompanied by an adult. The cost of the 2km run is just $40 per person.
Included in the registration fee is
FREE entry into Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary for the day of the ZOO RUN
Mates Rates for all other family and friends that wish to join you at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the day of the ZOO RUN at just $20 per person

5km $50 and 2km run/walk is $40
When you pay for your run/walk you will also receive

FREE Running Magazine.
Your friends and family can join you after the run for a day at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary at the discounted priced of just $20 each. That is the price they will pay to go into the Sanctuary. Not the Run.
The only discount on the ZOO RUN prices are if you have a group of 10 or more. Then you receive $5 off the price, only once the 10th person has registered and paid.
What you receive for your registration fee is well over $100 in value and all the profits from the day will go to the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital. I really hope you will join us.
The 5km run is in 3 waves. Lorikeet (fastest runners in under 20 – 25 mins) Emus (2nd fastest time in under 30 – 35 mins) and Wombats ( should be completed the course between 35 and 45 mins) Hope this has helped.
